BERKELEY, CA., February 4, 2013 – As part of the University of California Berkeley’s Lower Sproul Redevelopment program, construction activity is scheduled to begin in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union in late February. For the duration of construction, the Cal Student Store will be moving across the street to ensure customers continue to have convenient access to essential products and store services.
The Cal Student Store will close its Student Union location on Friday, February 15. The Store will open its temporary location at 2470 Bancroft Way on Tuesday, February 19. To create space in time for Buyback season and summer sessions, the Cal Student Store will expand its text selection to the building next door, 2480 Bancroft Way, in March. This extended text space will accommodate the Cal Student Store’s growing assortments of new, used, rental and digital textbooks.

Cal Student Store will be temporarily relocating to Bancroft Way in February 2013 and is projected to return to the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union in Fall 2015.
Store hours for the 2470 and 2480 Bancroft Way locations are 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
